Four Canadians contribute to winning teams in Week 18 of 2025 CFL season

Week 18 is in the books for the 2025 Canadian Football League regular season and four Canadians contributed to touchdowns on winning teams. They were British Columbia Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke of Victoria, British Columbia, Lions wide receivers Justin McInnis of Pierrefonds, Quebec and Jevon Cottoy of Calgary, Alberta, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats wide receiver Brendan O’Leary-Orange of Toronto, Ontario.

On Saturday in a 47-29 Hamilton win over the Toronto Argonauts, O’Leary-Orange had two catches for 111 receiving yards. Both of his catches were for touchdowns. The first was for 87 yards, and the second was for 24 yards. On the season, O’Leary-Orange has 22 catches for 336 receiving yards and four touchdowns. With the win, the Tiger-Cats are in first place in the Eastern Conference at 10 wins and six losses.

Also on Saturday, the Lions defeated the Calgary Stampeders 38-24 to move into second place in the West Division at nine wins and seven losses. Rourke completed 25 of 32 passes for 414 passing yards, four touchdown passes and two interceptions. He had a 40 yard touchdown pass to McInnis, 14 yard touchdown pass to Cottoy, and two touchdown passes to Keon Hatcher (10 yards and 32 yards). Cottoy had seven catches for 99 yards. and McInnis had two catches for 61 yards. Rourke also had two rushes for 22 receiving yards.

On the season, Rourke has completed 308 passes in 440 attempts for 4584 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He also has 57 rushes for 477 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns. McInnis has 68 catches for 1115 receiving yards and seven touchdown catches. Cottoy has 51 catches and 623 receiving yards and six touchdown catches.
