
The 2025 Stanley Cup Finals were determined on Tuesday night as the Florida Panthers defended their Stanley Cup title. They defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 and won the best out of seven series four games to two. There were eight Canadians on the Panthers. Let’s take a look at who the eight Canadians were.
Sam Bennett–The centre from Holland Landing, Ontario won the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP. He led the postseason in goals (15), even strength goals (11), and penalty minutes (48). Bennett added seven assists for 22 points in 23 postseason games.
Aaron Ekblad–The defenseman from Windsor, Ontario had four goals and nine assists for 13 points in 19 postseason games.
Johan Gadjovich--The left winger from Whitby, Ontario had two goals and one assist for three points in 16 postseason games.
A.J. Greer–The left winger from Joliette, Quebec had two goals and one assist for three points in 16 postseason games.
Brad Marchand–The left winger from Halifax, Nova Scotia had 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points in 23 postseason games. He led the NHL in the postseason with one shorthanded goal and 48 penalty minutes.
Sam Reinhart–The centre from West Vancouver, British Columbia had 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points in 21 postseason games. His 11 even strength goals led the NHL playoffs.
Evan Rodrigues–The centre from Toronto, Ontario had two goals and 13 assists for 15 points in 21 playoff games.
Carter Verhaeghe–The centre from Toronto had seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points in 23 postseason games.
