Edmonton, Alberta will host the 2026 Canadian Pacific Kansas City Women’s Open according to Kevin Smith of Alberta Golf on Wednesday. This prestigious national golf championship (also known as the Canadian Women’s Open), which is part of the LPGA Tour, will take place at the Royal Mayfair Golf Club from August 20-23, 2026.

The 2025 Canadian Women’s Open, will be from August 20-24 at the Mississauga Golf and Country Club in Mississauga, Ontario. However, before that there is still one more major to be played. The British Women’s Open will be at the Royal Porthcawl Golf Club in Wales.

This will be the eighth time the Canadian Women’s Golf Championship will be in Alberta. Edmonton previously hosted in 1996, 2007, and 2013. Calgary hosted in 1999, 2009, 2016, and 2024. When Edmonton hosted the tournament in 1996 and Calgary hosted in 1999, the Canadian Women’s Open was known as the du Maurier Classic, and was a major in women’s golf.

The top Canadian in women’s golf at the moment is Brooke Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ontario. She is 44th in the world. Henderson is a two-time major champion. She won the 2016 Women’s PGA Championship and the 2022 Evian Championship. Henderson is also the last Canadian to win the Canadian Women’s Open. She accomplished the feat in Regina, Saskatchewan in 2018.
