Heading into the eighth day of the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d’Ampezzo, Canada is at seven medals (three silver medals and four bronze medals). They are in 11th place in the overall medal standings. Here is what Saturday has in store.

Canada’s Rachel Homan (1-1) will try to bounce back after a disappointing 9-8 loss to the United States, when the Canadian team gave up four points in the sixth end and two points in the 10th end. Canada plays Great Britain (0-2) at 1am MT and Switzerland (2-0) at 11am MT. On thew men’s side, Brad Jacobs is undefeated at 3-0, and will play Switzerland’s Yannick Schwaller (3-0) at 6am MT.
Freestyle Skiing
Women’s dual moguls is scheduled on Saturday (starts at 2:30 AM MT). Canada is led by Maia Schwinghammer of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who won a World Cup silver medal in Bakuriani, Georgia on December 23, 2023.

Canada is in the quarterfinals of women’s hockey on Saturday at 8:40 MT against Germany. It appears Canadian star Marie-Philip Poulin will play after injuring her knee against Czechia on Monday.
Short Track Speed Skating
William Dandjinou of Sherbrooke, Quebec is the clear favourite in the men’s 1500 metres, and will look to bounce back after a bitterly disappointing men’s 1000 metres where he finished fourth.
