Women’s hockey and curling are the two big events on the 13th day of the 2026 Olympic Winter Games from a Canadian perspective. Canada is guaranteed a medal in women’s hockey. However, at this time we do not know what colour the medal will be.

Canada is facing the United States for the gold medal in women’s hockey once again (11am MT). The only time Canada did not face the United States in the Olympic gold medal game in women’s hockey was in 2006. Two decades ago Sweden upset the United States 3-2 in the semifinals in Turin. Meanwhile, Switzerland will face Sweden for bronze (6:40 am MT).

In women’s curling, it is a do-or-die situation for Canada’s Rachel Homan, as she will play an elimination game against South Korea (6 am MT). The winner makes the playoffs, and the loser is out. It is simple as that. Both teams are at five wins and three losses, and are tied for fourth place in the standings.

Meanwhile, Canada’s Brad Jacobs has his semifinal in men’s curling on Thursday at 11 AM MT. We just don’t know who he is going to play yet.

Team Canada is at 14 medals. They are at four gold medals, four silver medals and six bronze medals.
