
Heading into the 11th day of the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d’Ampezzo, Canada is at 11 medals (two gold medals, four silver medals and five bronze medals). They are in 10th place in the overall medal standings. Here is what Tuesday has in store.
Snowboarding
The women’s slopestyle snowboarding event is the first event where medals will be awarded on Tuesday (5am MT). There are two Canadians in the final–Canadian Olympic silver medalist Laurie Blouin of Quebec City, Quebec and Juliette Pelchat of Squamish, British Columbia. Blouin’s Olympic medal came at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang.
Curling
Ottawa’s Rachel Homan faces 2018 Olympic gold medalist Anna Hasselborg of Sweden (6am MT). This is a bigger game for Homan (3-3) than it is for Hasselborg (6-0). On the men’s side, Sault Ste. Marie’s Brad Jacobs (5-1) faces 2023 and 2025 world champion Bruce Mouat (4-3) at 11 am MT.
Speed Skating
Team Canada is looking to defend their gold medal in women’s team pursuit from the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. The Canadian team consists of Isabelle Weidemann and Ivanie Blondin of Ottawa, Ontario and Valerie Maltais of La Baie, Quebec. Canada will face the United States in the semifinals at 6:52 AM MT. The bronze medal match will be at 8:41 am MT and the gold medal match will be at 8:47 AM MT.
Freestyle Skiing
Quebec City’s Dylan Deschamps is competing in the men’s big air skiing (11:30 am MT). Deschamps won the bronze medal at the Winter X Games in Aspen last month, and is in fourth place in the World Cup standings. He won a World Cup silver medal in Secret Garden, China on November 29.
