
Canadians Dawson Hay of Wildwood, Alberta and Orin Larsen of Inglis, Manitoba both posted the second best scores on Friday in Pool C action of the 2025 Calgary Stampede. Hay was second in the saddle bronc, and Inglis was second in the bareback.
In the saddle bronc, Hay had a score of 87.5 points. He was only behind Wyatt Casper of Miami, Texas, who had a leading score of 90 points. Bailey Small of McArthur, California finished in third place with a score of 86.5 points. In the Pool C saddle bronc aggregate standings after two rounds, Hay leads with $12,500. Chase Brooks of Deer Lodge, Montana is in second place with $8750.
In the bareback, Inglis tied for the second best score on Friday with 85 points. He was tied with Mason Clements of Spanish Fork, Utah. Garrett Shadbolt of Merriman, Nebraska posted the best score of 87.5 points. In the Pool C aggregate standings for the bareback, Larsen is in fifth place with $5,000. The Pool C aggregate leader is Shadbolt with $11,500. Larsen is $2500 back of RC Landingham of Cassel, California, who is in third place with $7500.
Meanwhile, Dakota Buttar of Eatonia, Saskatchewan was bucked off Stanleyville Terror on Friday, but is still in second place in the Pool C aggregate standings in the bull riding with $7750. Luke Mackey of Ignacio, Colorado is the leader with $29,500.
In the chuckwagon racing, Jamie Laboucane of St. Walburg, Saskatchewan had the fastest time in the Rangeland Derby on Friday with a time of 1:11.25. Chanse Vigen of Calgary, Alberta is the aggregate leader after eight days of 9:41.81.
