He made 40 saves as the Philadelphia Flyers upset the Winnipeg Jets 4-0 at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Hart made 16 saves in the first period, seven saves in the second period, and 17 saves in the third period.
Mark Scheifele of Kitchener, Ontario, and Nikolaj Ehlers each led the Jets with five shots on goal. One Canadian scored for the Flyers. That was Owen Tippett of Peterborough, Ontario, who put the Flyers up 3-0 with an even strength marker at 3:11 of the third period. Tippett also had a multi-point game as he added an assist.
On the season Hart has a record of 15 wins, 14 regulation losses, and eight losses in extra time. He has a goals against average of 2.88 and a save percentage of .911. Hart’s three prior shutouts came on October 9, 2019 in a 4-0 Flyers win over the New Jersey Devils, on February 28, 2021 in a 3-0 Flyers win over the Buffalo Sabres, and on November 2, 2021 in a 3-0 Flyers win over the Arizona Coyotes.
With the win, the Flyers improved to a record of 21 wins, 21 losses and nine losses in extra time for 52 points. They are six points back of the Pittsburgh Penguins for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
