
Team Canada has been named for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in women’s hockey. In an announcement made on Friday in Toronto, Ontario, 13 forwards, seven defensemen and three goalies were chosen.
The 13 forwards were Emily Clark of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Sarah Fillier of Georgetown, Ontario, Jenn Gardiner of Surrey, British Columbia, Julia Gosling of London, Ontario, Brianne Jenner of Oakville, Ontario, Emma Maltais of Burlington, Ontario, Sarah Nurse of Hamilton, Ontario, Kristin O’Neill of Burlington, Ontario, Marie-Philip Poulin of Beauceville, Quebec, Natalie Spooner of Scarborough, Ontario, Laura Stacey of Kleinburg, Ontario, Blayre Turnbull of Stellarton, Ontario, and Daryl Watts of Toronto. The seven defensemen are Erin Ambrose of Keswick, Ontario, Renata Fast of Burlington, Ontario, Sophie Jaques of Toronto, Jocelyne Larocque of Ste. Anne, Manitoba, Ella Shelton of Ingersoll, Ontario, Kati Tabin of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Claire Thompson of Toronto. The three Canadian goalies are Ann-Renee Desbiens of Clermont, Quebec, Emerance Maschmeier of Bruderheim, Alberta and Kayle Osborne of Ottawa, Ontario.
Clark, Jenner, Maltais, Nurse, Poulin, Spooner, Stacey, Turnbull, Ambrose, Fast, Shelton, Thompson, Larocque, Desbiens and Maschmeyer were on the Canadian team that won gold at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. Larocque, Jenner, Spooner and Poulin were on the Canadian team that won gold at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Jenner was on the the Canadian team that won gold at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
