
The semifinals for football in Canadian USport in 2025 have been decided. In the Mitchell Bowl, the University of Saskatchewan Huskies will face the University of Queen’s Golden Gaels. In the Uteck Bowl, the University of St. Mary’s Huskies will face the University of Montreal Carabins. The USport semifinals for football will take place November 15.
On Saturday, the quarterfinals of the Canadian USport Football Championship took place. In the Loney Bowl, the University of St. Mary’s Huskies clobbered the St. Francis Xavier University Xmen 46-11 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Malik Williams of Ajax, Ontario had three rushing touchdowns, and Joshua Jack of Brampton, Ontario had four catches for 130 receiving yards. In the Jacques Dussault Coupe (previously called the Dunsmore Cup), the University of Montreal Carabins beat the University of Laval Rouge et Or 31-29 in Laval, Quebec. Pepe Gonzalez of Ottawa, Ontario had 288 yards passing. In the Yates Cup from Waterloo, Ontario, the Golden Gaels defeated the Laurier Golden Hawks 30-27. Tyler Mullan of North Bay, Ontario kicked three field goals. In the Hardy Cup from Saskatoon, the Huskies defeated the University of Regina Rams 25-24. Huskies quarterback Jake Farrell of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan had 356 yards passing, and Huskies running back Ryker Frank of Regina, Saskatchewan had 183 total yards (102 yards rushing and 81 yards receiving).
