
Team Canada has qualified for the 2026 World Men’s Curling Championships in Ogden, Utah. Canada qualified for the tournament by being one of the top four nations at the 2025 Pan Continental Men’s Curling Championships in Virginia, Minnesota.
Canada went through the entire tournament undefeated. They had a round robin record of seven wins and zero losses. Canada then beat the United States 7-3 int the gold medal game on Sunday. The gold medal game was a battle of former Olympic gold medalists at the skip position. Canada was represented by Brad Jacobs of Sault. Ste. Marie, Ontario, who won the gold medal at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. The United States was represented by John Shuster, who won the gold medal at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang.
It should be noted that the United States got an automatic berth to the 2026 World Men’s Curling Championships because they are hosting. The other three nations to qualify for the tournament were Japan, South Korea and China.
Meanwhile on the women’s side, we know five additional nations that have qualified for the 2026 World Women’s Curling Championships in Calgary from the results of the 2025 Pan Continental Women’s Curling Championships in Virginia, Minnesota. Joining Canada are China, South Korea, the United States, Japan and Australia.
