Team Canada has improved to a record of three wins and one loss at the 2025 Women’s World Curling Championship in Uijeongbu, South Korea. On Monday, Canada trounced Denmark 9-3.

It was a strong second half of the game for the Canadians. After leading Denmark 4-3 at the fifth end break, the Canadians scored all five points from the sixth to eighth ends. The game only lasted eight ends and took just over two hours to play before Danish skip Madeleine Dupont shook hands.

Team Canada, skipped by Ottawa’s Rachel Homan, has rebounded nicely, after being upset 8-7 by Scotland on Saturday. In the loss, Homan was unable to remove a Scottish stone out of play with her final shot attempt. In a takeout opportunity, the Scottish stone jammed on a Canadian stone at the back of the house, and allowed Scotland fourth player Rebecca Morrison to score three points and get the win.

Team Canada only lost once all of last year during the round robin at the 2024 World Women’s Curling Championship in Sydney, Nova Scotia. That was in Draw 20, as Homan was beaten 6-5 by South Korea’s Eun-ji Gim. Ironically, it is Gim who is one of two undefeated teams at 5-0 so far. The other is Team Switzerland.
