
For the second time in her golf career, Brooke Henderson of Smith Falls, Ontario won the CPKC Canadian Women’s Open. Henderson was victorious on Sunday at the Mississauga Golf and Country Club in the Greater Toronto Area.
Henderson posted a four round score of -15. She beat Minjee Lee of Australia by a stroke. Henderson and Lee are major champions. Henderson won the 2016 Women’s PGA Championship and 2022 Evian Championship. Lee won the 2021 Evian Championship, the 2022 United States Women’s Open and the 2025 Women’s PGA Championship.
On Sunday, Henderson had a score of four-under-par 67. She had five birdies and one bogey. Henderson birdied the second, fifth, 13th, 14th, and 17th holes, and bogeyed the fourth hole.
Henderson’s most spectacular shot came in the third round on Saturday. From the bunker on the 17th hole, Henderson recorded an eagle.
The first time Henderson won the Canadian Women’s Open was in 2018. That year she beat American Angel Yin by four strokes at the Wascana Country Club in Regina, Saskatchewan.
With the win, Henderson moved up to 26th place in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. That is a rise of 32 spots as she was ranked 58th in the world. This was Henderson’s 14th LPGA Tour victory.
