It was a very successful weekend for the Toronto Blue Jays as they swept the Seattle Mariners in a three game series on the road. The Blue Jays won by scores of 6-3 on Friday, 6-3 on Saturday, and 9-1 on Sunday.
In Friday’s win, it was a productive game for Blue Jays third baseman Addison Barger, who had three hits in four at bats. Brendon Little and Yimi Garcia both recorded holds, and Jeff Hoffman had the save.
In Saturday’s win, Bo Bichette hit a home run and a double. Meanwhile, catcher Alejandro Kirk had four singles. Mason Fluharty had the win in relief, while Hoffman had the save.
In Sunday’s win, Lukes and Ernie Clement had three hits each. Meanwhile, Barger and George Springer each homered. The Blue Jays pitcher who recorded the win was Eric Lauer, who pitched four and two thirds innings of shutout baseball.
