Adam Hadwin leads at the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship

Adam Hadwin of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan is the leader of the halfway point of the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship on Friday.  After 36 holes, Hadwin is at -11 and has a one stroke lead over his nearest opponent.

There are five other American golfers in contention at this time. Chandler Phillips of Huntsville, Texas and Braden Thornberry of Germantown, Tennessee are tied for second place at -10. Max McGreevy of Edmond, Oklahoma and Noah Goodwin of Ann Arbor, Michigan are tied for fourth place at -9. Adam Schenk of Vincennes, Indiana is in sixth place at -8.

In the first round, Hadwin had seven birdies and one bogey for a score of six-under-par 65. He birdied the first, fourth, seventh, eighth, 13th, 16th and 17th holes and bogeyed the 15th hole. In the second round, Hadwin had one eagle, six birdies, one bogey and one double bogey for a score of five-under-par 66. Hadwin eagled the sixth hole, birdied the first, fourth, seventh, 10th, 14th and 17th holes, bogeyed the 16th hole, and double bogeyed the 13th hole. The eagle came from the rough.

Hadwin has won once on the PGA Tour. That came at the 2017 Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida. Hadwin shot  a four round score of -14 and beat Patrick Cantlay of Long Beach, California by a stroke.
